MEETING NATIONAL TRAUMA WITH RESILIENCE
Establishing a new innovative physical and mental rehabilitation campus, a beacon of healing, at the heart of Israel’s bustling city of Tel Aviv – The Tel Aviv Foundation, The Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality and the Reuth Rehabilitation Hospital are building a future where every individual, regardless of age or circumstance, has access to the highest quality rehabilitation care. Delivering a modern, spacious campus that will serve as a guiding light of excellence – making Israel a leader in physical and mental rehabilitation healthcare to all citizens and soldiers alike.
THE NEED – NOW MORE THAN EVER
Following the devastating October 7th Hamas massacre, the need for excellent and continuous rehabilitation care has never been more urgent. The scale and severity of the current war has left an entire nation reeling from collective trauma, affecting thousands of lives across the country.
The already existing challenges facing Israel’s healthcare system are immense and ever-evolving. In a landscape where the need for rehabilitation services is outpacing available resources, the staggering numbers of soldiers, security forces personnel, Gaza Envelope and northern border communities, all in need of long term physical and mental rehabilitation care, underscores the critical need for enhanced rehabilitation treatment preparedness.
THE NEED – PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE
Providing adequate geriatric rehabilitation care is becoming a challenge and a global paramount necessity as life expectancy grows. As we anticipate demographic shifts and an aging population, it is imperative that we prioritize and invest in comprehensive care solutions to meet evolving needs. Ensuring access to high-quality geriatric rehabilitation care not only enhances the quality of life for our elderly population, but also contributes to the overall well-being and resilience of our communities
THE VISION – A WORLD CLASS HEALTHCARE CAMPUS
The vision is clear: a state-of-the-art rehabilitation campus for all Israelis. The new campus, situated on a plot of land allocated by the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality in the newest district of Tel Aviv in the the north west , will offer cutting-edge personalized care to patients from urban centers to remote areas. With partnerships with medical centers nationwide, Reuth will concentrate expertise and resources to provide holistic, tailored, and effective treatment for casualties of national trauma.
Sitting on nearly 4 acres of Tel Aviv’s picturesque seaside, the campus will feature a comprehensive array of facilities. Among these are 12 spacious inpatient wards, an outpatient complex which includes a hydrotherapy pool, advanced imaging, an R&D incubator, hyperbaric chamber, outpatient operating rooms and more. Surrounded by green urban paces and inviting hospitality areas, the campus will also provide solace for patients and their families. Above all, we prioritize the creation of extensive spaces for patients, families, and staff to foster a nurturing environment conducive to healing and well-being.
THE PARTNERS – THE REUTH REHABILITATION HOSPITAL
For over six decades, Reuth has been a leading force in the Israeli healthcare system, offering personalized, comprehensive care to patients and their families. Situated in southern Tel Aviv, With a focus on tailored rehabilitation plans and innovative therapies, Reuth strives to restore functional independence and empower patients to reintegrate into society.
Despite its vital role, Reuth Rehabilitation Hospital faces significant challenges. Israel’s rehabilitation medicine sector suffers from a severe shortage of beds and professional manpower, leading to extreme overcrowding and outdated infrastructure. Currently, the hospital can only accommodate one in five requests from patients in need of rehabilitation, highlighting the urgent need for expansion and modernization.
JOIN US AS WE BUILD A FUTURE FOR HEALING
The scarcity of rehabilitation services across Israel is not just a statistic; it’s a reality that impacts the lives of thousands of individuals, particularly those affected by war and terror acts, the elderly and those in need of specialized care. And it is getting worse by the day.
Yet, in these troubling and challenging times, we see opportunity to transform this vision into reality. This campus represents more than just bricks and mortar; it symbolizes a national commitment to healing, innovation, progress and resilience, serving the people of Israel for generations to come, meeting the dire evolving needs of our patients and the future of our nation.
