The entire museum’s collection was donated by Nahum Gutman’s family, in order to share his work with the public. Located in the “Writers’ House” in Neve Tzedek, the house served as the center for a new group of Hebrew writers and culture. The national landmark was purchased by the Jewish National Fund and its historical reconstruction was initiated by the Doron Foundation, with a special contribution by Irene and Murray Pergament in memory of their daughter, Sherri P. Koeppel.
