Background
The intimate relationship we all maintain with our smartphones can be particularly destructive for children and adolescents. Smartphones consume attention and intensify existing anxieties and fears. Following October 7 , the dangers of uncontrolled use have increased significantly – traumatizing videos have become content accessible to every child and teenager.

he Project – Transforming the Urban Digital Culture
The Tel Aviv Municipality is committed to a deep, systematic change in digital culture among the city’s students. As part of this broad municipal initiative, elementary school parents completely refrain from purchasing smartphones, while high school students opt for measured and controlled usage, based on a school charter formulated in collaboration between educational staff and professionals.

Impact
Through establishing and deepening the “Attention Revolution” program, graduates of the municipal education system will maintain a healthy relationship with their smartphones and know how to use technology wisely.
