Stretching along the southern Tel Aviv coast to Yafo, the park is a popular and prominent city landmark. The park was established thanks to the generosity of British businessman and philanthropist, Sir Charles Clore, one of the Tel Aviv Foundation’s first donors. In preparation for the city’s centennial celebrations, The Clore Foundation headed by his daughter, Dame Vivian Duffield, upgraded the park to include barbeque areas, outdoor exercise facilities, children’s playgrounds, and more. The Clore Foundation also supports many educational projects throughout Tel Aviv.
