Developing a dynamic, supportive hub for young entrepreneurs
Israel has more high-tech start-ups and a larger venture capital industry per capita than any other country in the world. Until now there has not been any systematic municipal policy to harness the talent of youth (ages 12-18) for the thriving scene of the high tech in Tel Aviv.
Sarona Hub was established to develop and support the next generation of Israel’s entrepreneurs. The first of its kind targeting the brightest young minds in Israel, the state-of-the-art center will support and develop social entrepreneurs to increase their impact. The location is also important as a center for commerce and leisure, its accessibility and proximity to public transport and other high-tech companies working in the area.
Sarona Hub aims to provide students with in-depth skills training, hands-on learning, resources, and development from academics and professionals to inspire their growth and success at all stages of their innovation project. The center organizes events to facilitate collaboration between young entrepreneurs across the country and the world. Many events are initiated by the young participants themselves. In addition, the center promotes social involvement; for example by encouraging youth to work in technology education for the elderly. Recognizing that diversity is a key driver for innovation and success, Sarona Hub seeks to attract youth from across Israeli society.
The Tel Aviv Foundation is seeking a philanthropic investment towards the growth of Sarona Hub.
Requested donation: $300,000.
Without Sarona Hub, young entrepreneurs struggle to find a community or a support structure for their ideas which can help realize their potential impact.
