Giving young children the best educational start in life
The population of north Tel Aviv reflects the broader demographic shift trending across the city: the growth of young families. While, in the past, many young people moved away once they entered the next life stage of having children, young families are increasingly choosing to remain in or return to the city. The growth in young families has resulted in a greater need for schools and facilities for children.
The Neve Sharet kindergarten complex is currently under construction, to be completed in 2020. It is located on Bat El Street in the middle of a residential area, across the road from a park.
The kindergarten will comprise six classrooms and therefore cater to approximately 200 children between the ages of 3-5. The multi-story complex is designed to support the kindergarten’s educational activities and play, with state-of-the-art classrooms and outdoor play areas. There will also be a number of shared, multi-purpose spaces for large group and special activities, such as a dedicated art room. Each classroom will cater to 30-35 children, most of who live in the neighborhood.
The kindergarten will operate from 7.30am – 2.00pm, after which afternoon activities will be run by other educators at the same facility.
Donation requested: $1,400,000
The kindergarten complex will be named according to the wishes of the donor.
