The Main Campus of the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yafo Requires Naming for Recognition

Naming for the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yafo

Project: Commemoration for the entire college: Existing, planned, and internal structures. Donation will go to support the future of this institution

Objective: The goal of this initiative is to provide the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yafo’s campus with naming that can recognize this highly respected and growing institution.

Need: Naming the main campus of the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yafo.

Located in Yafo, MTA is at the epicenter of Israel’s most populous coastal region. Yafo is home to a diverse population: Arabs and Jews, established and immigrant communities. Educational opportunities in this area have historically been both inadequate and untapped. The area’s cultural and religious diversity, which has been a source of pride for decades, is also the source of socio-economic challenges such as poverty and unemployment. MTA has a ripple effect on entire communities in Tel Aviv-Yafo (and beyond) due to the way it breaks down barriers between academia and society. MTA has 4,000 students and over 15,000 alumni. The goal is to commemorate the school’s values through recognition of a donor who shares those same ideals, most notably academic excellence, social responsibility and advancing the diverse community surrounding the campus

Impact: Commemorating a donor’s contributions through recognition on an academic campus. One that will accompany the name of the school itself for generations of students to come and help provide a better foundation for the surrounding community: based on social responsibility and academic excellence. The donation will of course support the school’s operations and ability to thrive and excel as an institution while supporting the nearby community of Yafo.

Requested Donation: $30,000,000
