430 students study at the Gretz Elementary School, which was established in 1934 and named after the historian Heinrich Gretz. One of the school's main goals is to nurture academic excellence among the pupils and help them reach their individual potential. The new library and resource center allows the school to fulfill this goal, offering a modern educational infrastructure to provide the students with the best learning environment possible. The library serves as the school’s center of educational and learning activities. It is 1,400 square feet and features a computer area that facilitates interactive learning, areas for meetings and screenings, and an extensive collection of 4,500 books. The library is treasured by the school’s gifted students, and is of particular importance because the neighborhood does not contain a nearby outside library.
